most amazing nite..in this life of mine
ok.. i think this has got to be the most outrageous.. craziest and irresponsible thing that i've ever done.well, mebe not so irresponsible. but it HAS to be the craziest thing ever. i can't believe that i actually did it! in just 2 hours.. we have done what i've never thought i'd ever do..
ok.. i don't know whether saying it here is such a good idea. anyone can come across this. but whomever is reading this.. i hope nothing of this is ever heard by any members of my immediate family..(oh no.. keeping secrets?!)
well, the night started out like this.. well, more like this afternoon.. i planned to just go for a drink with some frens at a mamak stall in subang. kinda roughly planned out but nothing was confirmed until my fren S.H called at 10 asking what was up. so.. yes.. i decided to go out. called syaz, sye yi.. and sk. was waiting for my fren lily, from nz to call. but she had a dinner that ran late. so, couldn't make it. but anyway.. the 5 of us went to a mamak near SK's. we were later joined by kiran, a form 5 classmate of mine.
after mamak, dropped by seng keat's a short while. had to send syaz and sye yi home. while on the way.. me.. being bored as usual, suggested to SH that we go for a joyride. mebe visit a fren somewhere. we came up with the idea to visit our fren in UNITEN.. but then.. that was kinda ruled out as we weren't sure of the way. we then decided that we would go to kl.. called SK up.. and he agreed to tag along.
we picked him up and he had his guitar with him.. keke.. so off we were.. to kl.. at hmm.. 1.45am.. why did we do it? i dunno.. just out of sheer boredom i suppose. and mebe even just us being young nutcases. who cares.. it was fun.. we talked a bit. about loads of nonsense.basically. what we were doing was just to drive down to kl(with our half past six knowledge of kl roads.. but SK was the best lar. without him.. i think both SH and i would have been kinda lost) and bum our way around and visit some sites.
we first visited KLCC.. it was cool. the roads were kinda empty and we were actually able to stop right at the base of the twin towers and look up. all three of us were just sorta.. in disbelief. we just couldn't believe that we'd actually done what we've done. well, i suppose that most of the time. we wouldn't be able to stop right at the base and just park our car in the middle of the road, shut the engine and get off.. we stared at the twin towers.. and one thing that struck me was.. "WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MY CAMERA?!".. that thought just kept riniging in my brain throughout the whole time we were driving around. man..
the twin towers looked SOOOO beautiful.. in all its' glory.. the lights were amazing and seeing it from such close proximity was.. cool.. i guess the novelty of it was that we were just able to stop on one of the li'l roads and although we were blocking the road, it wouldn't have caused any problem. ok, i have to admit.. as usual, i was being the worry wart that i am.. i still was kinda apprehensive about parking the car in the middle of the road. but it was all fine. after that.. we kinda drove around aimlessly through bukit bintang and all.. finally deciding.. none of us had actually been to KL tower. (eh?)
so off we were to KL tower.. oni problem was.. we had ABSOLUTELY no idea where it was. NONE of us had any idea whatsoever ok.. so.. basically.. we were driving around kl for about half an hour trying to find our way to KL tower. one thing i have to say is that finding KLCC is not too bad. cuz they actually have big signs telling you where to head to.. but there are NO signs pointing out the direction of KL tower to you. and you'd think that there would be. after all, KL tower's supposed to be one of the major attractions rite? anyway, we just drove around aimlessly. using KL tower as sorta like a beacon.. we just headed in the direction of KL tower passing on our way stadium negara and merdeka, petaling st. and pasar seni. we actually missed the turning and ended up in a quiet area and jln. bukit nanas... kinda ended up at a dark dark dead end that ended at the gate of a school.. so around we turned and back tracked our way.. and FINALLY.. i saw one measly small brownish coloured sign saying "KL tower".. in total.. i do blieve i oni saw 3 such signs NEAR the turning. yeesh.. there weren't any in the opposite direction you know!! anyway.. turned up.. but this time.. we couldn't go exactly to the base of the tower. as it's blocked off.. it's sorta like in a compound. so we drove almost to the end of the road and was on top of a hill actually.. and it was kinda at the base of the tower.. but not exactly below it lar.. and off the car my 2 frens were as quick as lightning... and me? being apprehensive as usual just opened my door and leaned out to view the KL tower in all its glory. ah.. it was nice.. the place was dark. and you could see the lights emitting off the tower. and 'tis was a clear night. and the stars were out to play. framing the KL tower.. making it look beautiful.. again.. where was my camera?? it had not crossed ANY of our minds to bring the camera. sigh.. but we made a pact.. sort of.. that we would do this again before i leave for NZ.. and the next time. we would ALL bring cameras. unbelievable..
to some.. this is not such a big thing. but to the 3 of us. i think it was something that we'd never thought we'd do. esp. at 2 am at nite.. crazy we were.. yes.. i admit. who goes sightseeing in the wee hours of the morning anyway?? haha.. oni nuts like us.. esp with a guitar.. haha. not a good idea if you're not planning to distract the driver with your singing. haha.. we all think that sk should compose a song abt this li'l 'road trip' of ours. haha.. and we also kind of blindly made our way home. haha.. weren't too sure of the way home. so.. basically we just relied on the road signs. lucky thing kl's road signs aren't 'too' bad.. hehe.. and i guess it kinda helped that the roads were pretty empty.
what have we learnt this early morning? well, i think our knowledge of kl roads have now improved slightly.. or rather improved a lot.. hehe.. depends on who lar.. i suppose. it was probably dangerous for us to have done that. but i don't regret it. the oni thing i regret is probably me having to kind of lie to my parents. i am sorry i had to do it. but.. i don't know. i feel bad. but i don't regret going to kl. it's all mixed up. oh well, we had fun.. we were nuts. but then again. we're young. hehe.. memorable experience. seeing kl at nite. the old buildings.. the new. where was my camerA? yeesh..
ps:i was kinda really blur.. until i forgot to eat before i brushed my teeth. you see, i'm kinda hungry at the moment. i haven't had anything to eat in the last 8 hours. and well.. i'm hungry. but that's oklar.. i think i'm too lazy to brush my teeth again. hehe.. see you around...
oh.. also.. gonna go out for dinner with my frens to celebrate my b'day. can't wait!:) think i should eat something. feeling gastric coming one. bah..
