and back i am...
hehhe.. oh yes.. i am back from sydney.. sydney was great!! but really really really tiring. hahah.. as i had expected.. there was absolutely no way i could catch up on my sleep! okay.. arrived on thursday afternoon. then went out for dinner with my cousin and his frens. later went out that nite.. basically.. it seems like i didn't do much in sydney. on friday we went up to the blue mountains. imagine.. there was a traffic jam going up the blue mountains!! whoa.. it took forever to get to the view points to see the 3 sisters. yeesh.. but yeah.. it was all good.. walked around. drove to another tourist spot.. and took this really really steep train ride.. and before that my cousin was going on and on about how that li'l train thing was only held by 2 cables.. and if one of the cable snaps we're pretty much dead cuz it's like the steepest train thing in the world and there's no way to stop it i think.. well, quite hard la.. and how in 50 years the thing has snapped twice.. riggghhhtt.... okie dokie..hehhe.. scary.. after that we drove to Parramatta for dinner. had dinner at this malaysian place. real nice food..heheh...
went shopping on saturday.. and just went around sydney after that. went to have a look round the sydney opera house and also circular quay.went for dinner.. and i can't really remember what we did after that. i know we visited another of my sister's frens... oh.. i remember now.. my cuz and my sister's fren drove us to this park where we could have a view of the opera house. quite interesting actually..
sunday was spent going to 'the rocks' market.. and going around the numerous bays that sydney has. finally ending up in bondi beach. went to this place called Hurricane and had ribs for lunch!! YUMMY!! hehehe.. and what's even better?? we had fried Mars bars after that 0_0 eeps.. hahah.. bondi beach was okay.. it was a cloudy day.. so.. yeah.. the guys were pretty disappointed cuz they couldn't see much of something.. hahah.. too bad for them eh? after that we went up to Bronte's peak.. or maybe it wasn't Bronte's peak. just Bronte.. yeah.. had to climb up onto some rocks which basically were right next to the cliff.. arrghhh>.< was freaked out lah.. and my sister's fren insisted that there was no other way.. arrghh!!! liar!! that night we ended up in circular quay again after having dinner in a chinese restaurant in chinatown.walked about.. ended up in this ice cream place called passion flower. had durian and green tea ice cream. yummy!!
the next day.. we had 'yum cha'(dim sum). then we went shopping in the city!!oh yes.. my sisters and i were like "we have to do some shopping!!!" hahha.. didn't buy much.. but got a couple of things. oh.. we went for tea at this place in Paddington which specialises in chocolate. it was sooo nice! heheh.. they had different kinds of hot choc drinks. the ones where you could melt the choc yourself and loads more.. it was real interesting. and they had all kinds of choc desserts.. it was heaven.. heheh.. so good.. thank goodness i don't live in sydney.. not only would i be broke but i'd be a rollie pollie... yeesh.. heheehhe.had dinner with my dad's old classmate from Malacca.. after dinner we went out again. had coffee at this place called Dee Bee's.
honestly.. i think most of our money was spent on food!! hahah.. yeah.. would you believe that for the 4 full days(the other 2 days were half days so not counted) that we were there.. we had potato wedges everyday!!! they were yummy!!!hehhehe.. anyway.. my flight back to nz was actually at 7.25am.. so we left for the airport at around 4.30 AM!! had to wake up at 3.30 when i oni went to sleep at 1 sumthing.. arrghhh>.<.. and the best thing was after we checked in.. we found out that our flight was delayed and was oni gonna be at 8.55am.. but honestly.. we oni boarded the plane at like 9 sumthing.. yeesh.. talk about 'on time'. haha.. my sisters, 2nd sis' bf and i were sleeping in the airport. i got some pics of the others sleeping.. heheh..^.^ cuz after a while i couldn't really sleep in the airport. felt too weird to sleep in public..heheheh.. but yeah.. sydney was cool.. but i don't think i'd like living there on a long term basis. dunno why.. i guess it has a different feel to it. definitely more cosmopolitan than auckland. dunnolah.. ehhehe..
got myself 3 soft toys.. for $5!!! hehehe.. a koala, a kangaroo and a wombat..now to figure out where to put them!!:( no place.heheh.. my jaw's killing me.. i think it's swollen. i can't chew properly. i can't grit my teeth.. arrghh.. it feels sooo weird!! and i was so exhausted i slept till 3.15pm!!my dad had to wake me up..hahahha.. oh well.. anyho.. i think this has been a long enough entry.. will stop here.. gotta get started on something productive.. heheh.. okay.. later everyone..
