i had 2 panic attacks while writing this blog.. cuz i thought i lost it twice. and it's one damn long one.. good luck if it doesn't load fast enough. heheheh..

~see the sand dunes? that's part of 90 mile beach.. not really 90 miles.. more like 50 miles.. but it's this very very long stretch of beach that leads up to the northern most tip of NZ, that's cape reinga.~

~bus on the beach? yeah.. that's 90 mile beach.. where your biggest threat isn't drowning.. but more like getting hit by vehicles driving on the beach~

~someone did wheelies on the beach.. my cousin was inspired to drive on the beach after that.. which he did.. for a short while.. where he did a figure 8. and i was in the car.. i don't think i'm meant for these kind of things...cousin regretted that no one was filming him doing that. he wanted to turn back and do it again.. i wasn't really supportive of that idea.~

~and then we stumbled upon this thing.. it's not a rock with barnacles on it.. cuz it's squishy.. my sister tried rolling it with her foot.. but her foot just went into it.~

~Mangonui fish n chips.. reportedly the best in nz.. it was ok. how different can fish and chips get? i think i like the one near my house better. their portions are bigger.~

we then visited the kauri museum on the way home.. don't ask me where.. it's like in this li'l town on the way to ... forgot the place. heh.. but yeah.. about 2 hours drive from auckland?

for you lost ppl.. kauri=huge big tree that grows in nz. i think it's native here.. i think.. yeah.. well, there was this bark that was displayed in the museum that was 800 years old.. started growing BEFORE nz was discovered.
