How much water to use to boil rice?

In a pot on the stove:

Amount of water is 1.5 times the amount of rice.

In a rice cooker:
(approximate as unsure)

1:1 ratio of water:rice.


This is as a reminder to myself. Next time I can just type in key words "boil rice water" and this post will appear! hehehhee. handy eh?
