oh goodness..
i'm so out of touch with the latest gadgets. yesterday was the first time that i ever really realised that a thing called iPod existed. well, maybe deep in the recesses of my brain there was that knowledge of such a gadget. but whatever i knew about an iPod was probably very limited. yes.. i just found out that it's an mp3 player. and yes indeed it is pretty interesting and probably quite useful. anyhoo.. was at this shop that was probably er.. how should i put it.. a computer shop that specialises in selling Apple computers.. or is it Macintosh comps? nah.. i do believe it is Apple computers with Macintosh running system rite? Ed!! help!!( hehe.. yes indeed..anything i don't know about comps i ask ed.. hor? probably annoy him sometimes. but oh well.. that's what frens are for hor??hehe!:P) brainless christine's at it again.. but anyway.. the comps there were pretty savvy looking.. yes.. they were glassy looking. probably made of some plastic. but the keyboard was see-through-able... and so was the mouse, comp screen.. but din see the CPU tho.. but probably was also transparent. yah.. damn jakun! haha.. and well.. saw this alien looking thing in a form of a mushroomy thing.. tiff informed me that it was actually a speaker(er.. oh wow?!) and was aptly named 'the creature' or something to that tune..
but anyway, i'm taking a risk in sounding real obsessed with american idol. but oh well.. not like i have anything else to write about.. anyway.. just watched another episode of american idol. this time it was about the auditions held in Houston.. boy oh boy.. i never knew that there could be such a great number of thick skinned and horrible singers there.. BUT.. before i go any further.. i DO NOT want to hurt anyone's feelings kay.. all these comments are basically MY opinion and may not necessarily ring true.. and also.. i would like to say "Kudos!" to those who actually took criticism well and walked away with my respect. Good on 'em..it takes a lot of guts to take it in and be strong about it. I don't know how to say this. but somehow whenever i see an asian(a li'l too general don't you think?well, maybe chinese or something..or i dunno..but hopefully you get the general idea.. oh..and i'm NOT trying to be racist!! i'm chinese and proud of it..) my heart kinda skips a beat cause so far.. i haven't seen a clip in which an asian actually succeeds in getting to the second round. i have to admit though. most of them er.. can't sing. i'm kinda embarrassed.. i'm really hoping that an asian gets through and make it.. even though not to the finals. but at least you know.. get into the 2nd and 3rd rounds or something like that. you know.. i love my culture and stuff.. but considering it's AMERICAN idol.. i do think that the least that the contestant could have done was practise his english and made sure he could actually pronounce the words properly.. it made him sound like an ah beng trying to be 'koo(l)'.. but anyhoo.. that's just one thing. i pity the judges really.. i just wonder how they find the things to say to the contestants to tell them "no".. and some just can't get the idea that no means no.. haha.. imagine.. this guy kept singing on even though both simon and randy walked away. and there was this one thing that i really had to agree on with paula abdul.. there was this gurl who paula thought was acting quite fake. not that she had a bad voice. she did overdo her singing. but i guess that could be changed.. and well, but the way she was acting.. seriously was really.. er. i dunno whether she even deserves to be called bimbo.. think she's way over that. it was like "Oh really??"(complete with facial expression, think puppy dog face, and fake voice you can ever imagine).. and in one of those types of voices.."Aww.." so totally different from how she was when she was out in the waiting room telling her parents how paula abdul thought she was fake.. and how she couldn't really remember the word 'affected' saying it as 'affecting' or something like that cause paula said that she thought the contestant was 'affected'.. i guess that's a nice polite way to say to the contestant that she was acting fake. Randy however thought it okay to put her throught to the next round. well, she was one of the better sounding contestants although probably not the best. ah well.. what's show biz without 'em prima donnas eh?
but what i really can't believe.. is how this one contestant wouldn't believe the judges and how she actually took simon cowell's challenge to go to the nearest mall to sing and try to get 10 ppl to tell simon that he was wrong and she was a good singer.. 'tis sad really.. 'tis was an extremely BIG failure.. aww.. the poor host of the show had to follow her around. man.. dunno how the host of these idol shows remain so patient and supportive.. even to the most rude and insulting contestants.. imagine.. someone telling you that you look FORTY! acks.. i'll probably be throttle the guy on the spot!! haha..
think that's enough for now.. and maybe for the rest of the month about american idol. really should stop.. it's getting kinda old... but somehow the contestants think up of new ways of degrading themselves.i don't know.. haha..
here are a few random thoughts:
*oh crap.. my new lip gloss doesn't look nice at all.. er.. dunno whether it'll cause my lips any irritation though. haven't really tested it.. but shit.. the colour's yuck!! i want my bobbi brown lip gloss!! or something similar to that!!! arghhhhhh....
*i feel more alive in the wee hours of the morning than in the afternoon.. could it be the heat? well. we'll just put it down to the heat and not my screwed up biological clock kay?
