i'm famous!! well.. almost.. *rolls eyes*. forgot to tell everyone about this. hahah..
anyway. apparently my mum's picture of her receiving her prize from bread story either came out in the newspapers or are posted up in the bread shop... okay.. confused? i guessed you might be..
let's start from the beginning.....
bread story is a chain of bakeries in m'sia that specialises in all sorts of breads. while i was home in m'sia, my mum and i popped by to the bread shop on one of our shopping trips. we bought our bread and while paying, the nice cashier told us that if we bought above a certain amount we could get the chance to enter a competition. we were only short of about RM2 from that amount so i grabbed another bun. and thus we entered the competition.
lo and behold.. about a week before i flew back to m'sia.. a person calls mummy dearest to tell her that she won the competition. the prize? 2 VIP tickets to a concert of a popular hong kong singer, Sam Hui. so, a few days after that, we make our way to JLn. Klang Lama, with yours truly as the driver. trust me.. i've never been to that part of town and was pretty lost. lucky roads weren't too bad. but anyway..
to cut a long(understatement) story short.. they took a picture of my mum and i receiving the prize and apparently it either came out in the newspaper or the picture is now posted in the bakery. so.. i don't know. ppl in m'sia. if you happen to pass by bread story.. do keep a lookout for a pic of a lady with a dorky gurl in a pink top smiling like a doofus. that'll be me.
