Feeling a tad cheated?
Especially from Gateau House. A 'small' cake costs $45.00 now !!!!!!!!!!! SMALL!!!
It's really not that big at all.. $45!
shocking!
It CAN'T have gone up that much could it?
Well, there are the cheaper alternatives.. :( I just hope they still are as good as they used to be.. Sigh.
Talking about feeling ripped off, well, okay.. along the lines of frustration anyway.
I finally got annoyed enough to write into Tournament Parking Ltd. over the issue of them keeping my GST receipts when I validate my parking at the Rialto carpark. This time around, I got so frustrated because they have stopped accepting visa/EFTPOS receipts. They only take GST receipts because that's proof of purchase. Fair enough. Thing is, they STILL refuse to return my receipt in that instance!
I am reluctant to part with my GST receipts as that's my only proof of purchase of my groceries (as I shop downstairs). I felt that it was a bit unfair to me. I understand the need for proof of purchase and am entirely happy for them to mark my receipt to prevent fraud. Thing is, they refuse to do that either!
So, I wrote in. A long ranty one as I do... and my email pretty much ended with:
- Why is it company policy to insist that I give away my only form of evidence that I have made a purchase at a retailers that offers the 2 hr free parking?
- IF Tournament insists on its current policy, is Tournament Parking Ltd. willing to bear witness to retailers should any issues arise with products which I have purchased to say that I genuinely DID make such purchases seeing as I would not be able to produce proof of my purchases. "
But then.. guess what their response was?
" Thank you for your query.
We need the Attendant to retain a GST receipt as this is a proof of Purchase. An EFTPOS receipt unfortunately isn’t a proof of purchase and can be for cash out as an example. This exposes us to possible fraudulent use. The receipts are kept and then Audited & validated against the attendants shifts.
If needed, we would be happy to confirm that an item was genuinely purchased. "
I was like... "ok..." They agreed to my sarcastically made remark.. =.="
Firstly, I HIGHLY doubt that they would be able to do that. Or rather, wonder HOW they are going to go about that.
HOW will they 'confirm' that I did genuinely purchase the item.
Are they going to pull out the receipt that I have given them.
If so, HOW LONG will it take for them to respond back to me? Do I have to wait for like 1 week-1 month before they even get back to me?
What if I am complaining about a kilo of meat that's gone off. I can't wait ONE week. Later the shopkeeper ask why I wait so long? =.="" Damn silly right?
I did email back to clarify that they were aware of what sort of 'promise' or rather agreement they were making with me..... The responsibility they will be holding.
But.....
I still haven't heard back. That was on Monday.
I think I will give them a bit of time. Then I'll see if they respond. If they don't, I will probably bring this to the attention of either Target or the other show similar to it. Of course, I'll do my research with Consumer Affairs or something. Haha.. This will be fun. =.=""
