I have recently come across the joys of eating custard and yoghurt in combination of various other stuff..
First off, custard. I like custard.. the kind you buy from the grocery store.. more so cause it's vanilla flavoured(yes, I is a vanilla fiend!). I bought a pack of 'light vanilla custard' recently but it just didn't' taste as good when consumed alone in comparison to the non-light version. Yeah.. I just eat custard by itself. baby food :P.. Anyway, not wanting to waste the remainder of the custard, I took the advice on the pack and eat it with.... fruit! :D
Still, I had at least half a pack left T.T... nearing its use by date too.. Bah.. I then decided to improvise. The pack said 'eat with muesli'.. but I'm not too much of a fan of muesli.. So, I decided to have it with my cornflakes..
Mm... :D I have to say.. it was good. So out came my first newly found combinations :
Then, if you recall, on monday, I went a little crazy at the supermarket spending frivolously on snack food. Amongst my purchases was a tub of Puhoi Valley Thick creamy yummy 'summer strawberry' yoghurt. I looovee my thick (fatty) yoghurts! LOVE! :D They remind me of my childhood.. My first time tasting yoghurt and THAT, was the type of yoghurt I know. Not your processed liquid type ones.
Anyway, back to the subject.. So, I have been eating it on its own.. and last night, with cornflakes.. Thus combination two (although, this isn't something new.. I've done it before :P)
It's okay with cornflakes, except.. the cornflakes remain a bit too crunchy and gets stuck in the teeth.. It's alright but I like my cornflakes SLIGHTLY softened but still with a crunch to it.. Having cornflakes with custard gives it that texture when you leave it for a bit :)
Today, after lunch, still felt hungry and was contemplating on having more noodles... meh.. Thought I ought not to because the amount remaining seemed enough for another (small) meal and if I wanted to, I rather have it all. Having a little of it would leave an in-between amount. So, I started scavenging for food. Had some oranges that Matt's mum gave.. all cut up already so easy peasy :P. The yoghurt stared back at me from the fridge.. Nah...
Opened the biscuit tin and noticed the pack of 'McVities'(something like digestives)... mm... Had one.. Ooo.. not bad.. not super hard but quite oily.. haha.. oh well.. Felt like another.. when *DING*... Lightbulb moment... I could make my own strawberry crumble!!!! :D Third combination:
So yeah.. that's me ranting on about my 'discoveries' (not like they're unknown to the world.. just me :P) on a Sunday afternoon because Matt's been called back to work.. Hmmfttt.. Not happy :( My weekend plans all spoiled.. which I kinda realise now happens EVERY weekend with nice weather! HO HUM!

Mm... :D I have to say.. it was good. So out came my first newly found combinations :
- Custard + cornflakes + golden kiwifruit. Perfectly healthy for breakfast - barring the sugar in the custard laaa.. :P low fat mar!

- Roughly crushed McVities biscuits + strawberry yoghurt = strawberry crumble!
