Lessons from SUnsets...
blogger still rocks. i never lose posts in blogger.. ugh.. i'm really irritated. and my train of thought has been broken. but i will try nonetheless to re-write everything as best as possible. but i'm seriously annoyed. sigh..
*thought* seen any 2 sunsets which were similar?
anyone ever seen 2 sunsets that were similar/the same? i don't know about u.. but i sure haven't. in the past 7 days, in fact, even less than that, i've already taken pics of 3 diff types of sunsets. i mean.. seriously. it amazes me by the sun's ability to cause such beautiful colours which are hardly ever the same everyday. i mean, if the sun had a mind.. it must be a really creative one. a sunset happens so fast. in just a blink of an eye.. things can change. less light, less vivid colours reflecting off the clouds. it's either you catch it now or miss it. photograph it now or never. one minute it's golden the next it's just bleak.
i don't know. but can we actually learn something from sunsets? i feel that we can. i'm thinking. maybe it's a better thing if we applied the phrase "carpe diem"(meaning 'seize the day' i think) in our lives more often. makes me think. do we sometimes just let golden opportunities just pass us by without us realising it?like i've mentioned about photographing a sunset. a delay of a second or two can mean a lot.. if you're too slow in 'catching' that dream you'd probably never be able to gain such an opportunity again
think about this. how many of us actually take notice of a sunset. even if we do notice it, do we even bother stopping to watch it? maybe it's the same with our lives. where we just go with the flow and hardly ever stopping to watch our lives from another point of view/ a distance. can anyone tell me whether they are SO SURE of wat's going on in their lives? if you can tell me that, then good on you. cause i sure as heck don't know what i'm doing with my life most of the time. mebe this should teach me to stop and watch the things going on around me. to KNOW. to actually KNOW. .. mebe then i can have better control over things happening? maybe this way, i might even not miss an opportunity that i might overlook without even batting an eyelid due to my rush in wanting to get thru the day.
change may not be so bad after all. i mean, since sunsets change everyday. and still can look so beautiful. why not? of course i'm not talking change in a bad way. i'm talking about changes that may improve us. maybe looking at what change has to offer isn't such a bad idea sometimes.
didn't know that we could learn so much from sunsets eh? ahhaha.. neither did i. dunno why/how i came up with that. but i had more written. just that i was typing it out in ed's blog, livejournal and i pressed backspace or something on my keyboard and the browser just went BACK!!!arrghh.. LOST everything. blogger at least asks whetehr i'm sure i want to leave the new post page cuz i haven't saved it. ugh...it just totally whammed up my mood. i was seriously just typing so fluently. hardly even thinking. everything was just coming out. i now feel the pain of any writers who have lost part of their script. pity.. life's just tough ain't it?
listening to music.. soothes one's soul. hehe..
anyway.. uni was so-so today. didn't blog yesterday cause didn't feel like doing so. nothing much happened yesterday. just went for labs. no physics lecture due to the assignment. had 3 hours to waste between labs. it was so boring. i'm not kidding. i have no idea how i'm gonna survive my 3 hour breaks between my lectures next semester which would be happening on a daily basis except for one day in the week. goodness. i'm gonna die like this. ugh.. went for biosci107 lab. i hate looking thru microscopes. my poor eyes. feel so strained after that. physics lab wasn't too bad. it was small. like really small. and like you had a few different classes in there. like so many diff. types of experiments going on. kinda feels a bit disorganised and well, hap-hazard. anyway.. finished my lab in about 50 mins. did it with this gurl who wasn't too bad. a person who laughs along with me(ah.. my fren!:) )ahahha.. and yes.. we both bothered the lab supervisor a lot with our questions. anyway.. we were done and just sitting there chattin when the supervisor asked us whether one of us wouldn't mind helping this guy who was doing his practical alone. so yeah. helped him when i realised there was something different about his apparatus and me and my lab partner's. oh my goodness.. we made a mistake in our last experiment!!blergh.. had to re-do.. lucky still had an hour!!hahha.. finished and left early.
today.. nothing in particular happened. haha.. oh yeah.. after uni, amy, stefan and i went to the commons to use the computers. amy had to do her assignment. and well, when we were leaving, stefan went to fill his bottle at the water cooler. amy and i decided to 'ditch' stefan.. notice the inverted commas.. we were just horsing around. anyway. got to the bottom of the stairs. and then waited for stefan(who had noticed us goin down the stairs) to catch up. but then he wasn't anywhere in sight. suddenly i hear this shout "BOO" and then i see stefan on his knees next to amy!!! hahahha.. apparently there was this lady walking and he happened to jump into her pathway and stepped on her foot and when she moved her foot & he slipped and fell!! hahhahhaha.. hhahahaha.. poor stefan.. that'll teach him to scare us 2 innocent and helpless ladies.. muahahhahahhahahhahhhahahhahahahahhaha..
ps: i got the number 14 twice today. well, my sis, her bf and i went for dinner at this foodcourt. my sis and i ordered some dishes and got the no. 14. and her bf ordered chicken rice and ALSO got no. 14.. mm.. mebe it's time to buy lotto.. hehe.. lotto booth.. here i come.. heh heh heh...
pps: i was thinking yesterday. and a thought crossed my mind. IF i take anything health science related(like pharmacy/pharmacology), well, most of my classes are in the grafton campus. that means no more hanging out at the city campus? aww.. and i think most ppl are in the city campus :(. i suppose this is wat the sunset was maybe telling me. that i have to accept changes don't i? it wouldn't be that bad would it? oh.. and u know.. i'm actually really thinking about it that i went to scout out the area surrounding grafton campus looking to see whether i'd be able to find place to park my car if i drive there. serious ain't i?
