Photoblog: My CNY in one post(erm.. sorry la.. it's super big I know)
What's with the insecurities? Goodness knows. I'm just kind of sick of feeling low. But then again, I can't stop feeling it. This is idiotic to be honest. I'm just too concerned.
Sigh.
I still have yet to even properly begin the book my friend lent me! And I brought it back to Malaysia JUST to read it. Sigh. Now I have to quickly finish it before uni starts. I just wonder whether that is actually possible.
I don't know what I'm feeling.
Sigh.
I hate being low. So, to avoid a mish mash of rubbish words coming out... I will just post pictures. I happen to have 65 pics to post I believe. I am just trying to figure out HOW to do that without crashing your computer. IT's either I put it all up in ONE post.. or split it up. But what's the point, if I'm just gonna end up putting one post after another? DUh >.<. OH well, I guess I'll go with each day.. We shall begin from the 29th day of the year of the Cock. I.e, Reunion night/CNY eve:
What's a reunion dinner.. without the feast?

the family tucking it in

and the super geek being surprised at how you can eat this li'l orange thingy WITH the skin!

BUt then again.. I prefer it WITHOUT the skin la.
Then came the 1st day of the Year of the Dog.(duh.. I.e first day of CNY)
The day my grandfather was brought home.. for the last time.

But there were the happy moments where super dork mentored her younger cousin in the ways of dorkism.

and the money came

Where I tucked in..

on my fav fruits

erm.. forgot to take pic of mangosteen.
OH.. there we have it.. uncle with his perfectly opened mangosteen. He cheated.. he was using a knife. Sheesh.

2nd day:
made a pilgrimage back to my mum's hometown.. to be greeted with this feast.

I'd say there's at least a few hundred dollars worth of raw materials that have been converted into those fine dishes.
and where I managed to catch the first Lion dance of the CNY for this year, for me that is.

3rd day:
We ventured into the kampung(village) of Pekan Nanas and then to the city of Johor Bahru.

had fun scooping water from the wells. Ahh.. seriously nice COLD water.

Where we saw chickens..

and a really weird chicken... or I don't know what..

and some geese *honk honk honk*

great education indeed for this young city 'un.

who can now proclaim that she has tried to scoop water out of a well

I have to say.. I ain't half bad in scooping water. hehehehe.. Actually got about 1/2-3/4 tinful of water!

That.. my dears... is raw rubber mixed with.. ermm.. some acid(I think.. forgot.. sheesh.. learnt in geog I think) so that it'll harden.
Met up with the many erm.. relatives I never really knew I had.. 2nd cousins, cousin aunts, granduncles, aunts etc.. you get my drift

Saw pineapples.. well, we WERE in pekan nanas(pineapple village) where pineapples were once grown in abundance!

Saw the plant loofah comes from.. LOofah is made from these fruits ppl!

Free Loofah!! Free loofah!!! hehehhe. thanks to granduncle no.2!

Had my first loh sang for the year.

Day 4:
Visited granddad in his li'l condominium in a temple. *eh hem* condominium keeping his ashes that is...

ERM.. yeah.. didn't take pics of his condo la.. heh.. instead took some pics of the lilies and li'l pond that was there.
Day 5:
Journeyed back from Kluang, made a stop in Malacca to visit my father's sis.
Saw some cow dung along the highway while on the way back to KL

Day 6:
The beginning of the open house season for me.
First stop, ML's

Followed by dinner and drinks with a dear friend, TIff.

Day 7:
My open house

Where the game In between got a little bitchy. The pool was being PMs-y and very stingy you see. Only wanted money and wanted no part in giving.

Sigh.. with relatively good cards of 2 and Jack.. you'd still pull something like an ace!
Then followed by Cal's open house:

Day 8
Leng Hui's open house in the afternoon.

Followed by Ash's open house.

Also the last day, I saw my granddad alive.
A pic taken later that night.. while people were praying as it was the beginning of the 9th day of CNy...

Day 9
The day.. where I had to pack away the deco..

So long grandpa. May we meet in heaven. It will be impossible for me to forget you. Because part of me comes from you.

Day 13

Day 14

A simple 'Chap goh meh' dinner with my parents.

Pig trotter(a bloody huge one.. my grandma packed for me and my family! sniff sniff.. grandma loves me:D hehehe.. she knows i will whack the thing kau kau), Chap choy(erm.. mix vege?), and some frozen durian.
