My 3rd anniversary :)
As per our tradition, Matt took me to "McDonald's" for dinner.
hehehe.. I like his choice of "McDonald's"... heheheh.
I was late.. as usual =.="".. Not as late as my first month anniversary I have to say..
We weren't TOO late.. Just about 10 mins. I had absolutely no clue where we were going to dinner this year.. I kind of guessed on our journey to dinner last year :P. This year, I didn't even know the place existed! Hehe.
We went to Clooney's for dinner.
Good food.. but definitely.. pricey... We spent yonks going through the wine list to choose the affordable wine.. heh..
Meals were good, but portion wise.. they weren't as generous as French Cafe's. In saying so, portions may now be smaller than French cafe's now anyway... What with the inflation etc. The place was busy so you really wonder where these people get the money to eat there.. Well, other than the occasionals like Matt and I :P heheh.
I decided why not do the once in a blue moon photoblog :)
Matt and what's left of our appetiser - Brown butternut ice-cream & crisp serrano ham. It was like a scoop of ice-cream in a soup.. hahaha. It was too trippy for me.. Matt liked it but I liked the soupy bit :)

Entree.. ostrich carpaccio with foie gras mousse, medjool date, pickled shitake (real yum!) and oloroso sherry jelly (real strong)
Main #1: Prime Angus beef tenderloin with onion and truffle oil flan, pomme mousseline & red wine sauce.. Matt liked this =)
'Firstlight' farm raised venison with cocoa mille-feuille, preserved cherries, black pudding and licorice jus. Matt was going to order this originally but good thing he chose not to as he preferred his beef in the end.. Mm.. I think I know what the 'herbal' taste Matt was referring to.. It was the licorice! hehe.
My outfit for the night.
Dessert #1: Pedro Ximenez Creme brulee (The creme brulee was quite good. Nice custard and good layer of sugar) with prune and almond beignet & espresso granita.. Also some sherry to sip on.
Baked Xocopili Chocolate fondant with green cardamom ice-cream.
Us at 'Gypsy Tea Room' after dinner - where Matt's friend's gf's bday party was being held.
Hehe.. Gotta thank Mr. Matt for the yummy dinner...
The lovely people that were there tonight. Bday girl is 2nd from right :)
Anyway, that wasn't the biggest surprise of the night..
On our way to the restaurant, Matt goes, "Can you get my car manual from the glove box please?"
I smelt a rat.. but was oblivious at the same time.. I don't know how that works.. but yes, I was still surprised/happy to see a wee package in there.. Open it and it's a jewellery box.
TADAAAAAAA!!!

And no..we're not engaged or anything. It's just a present cause I've been harping on about getting some 'bling' for myself..
I'm so useless honestly.. I was wondering what stone it was (the blue one).. so, I asked.. "Hun... what is this ar?? Crystal ar??"
D'OH!!!! =.="
I'm pretty sure I meant "what precious stone is this".. Just that crystal just popped into my mind.. sigh..
it's topaz btw..
Ring's at the jeweller's getting resized :( le sigh..... I want to wear it!!!
