Okay. I suppose some parts of my rant on the restaurant that I went to are, well, pretty standard. I suppose it's the norm for restaurants to give you the most expensive house wine. Well, I get it. I'm not so ignorant and I am fully aware of that since that day I dined in the restaurant. But the deal is, this is still a bloody annoying practise of theirs. One which I am not satisfied with. Moreover, what if I'd not liked that wine. Grr...
Nevermind. I'm just sounding more stupid with everything I say.
On the issue of the 'creme brulee' I had at Umbria, this is what my friend's take on it is, "legally, if you knew there was a difference and don't raise it, you're taken to hv accepted the change".
I suppose one could argue that I wasn't sure of the difference and therefore did not dare to raise the issue. However, I suppose... it does kind of makes sense. Ergo, I shall let it slip this time. Thinking about it though. It was quite a nice dessert. It's just a pet peeve of mine to not get what I want I suppose. Or rather, not get what I expect to get.
