Photoblog: A week ago.. part 4
Day 4 of Melbourne. THe beginning of my road trip.
Woke up kind of late.. ENded up rushing to get the car. Was stressing out a little because we were late in checking out. Oh dear... BUt everything sorted itself. Had to keep reminding myself NOT to stress. Kept praying to God. Phew.
NOw.. before I started all this madness.. Had some real good stuff for breakfast!
Yep.. Krispy Kremes.
Better than dunkin doughnuts I reckon! hehehhehe..
Feast your eyes.. hahahhaha..MMmmm... Glazed, chocolate coated with sprinkles... Mmmmm
Started off our journey immediately since we had er.. krispy kremes to keep our tummies satisfied(but it didn't really...)
Chanced upon this little town on our way where I made a U turn to get back to a scenic spot only to find that I couldn't turn right.. And I got honked at.. My bad.. really.. Oopsy daisy!
But.. it was all worth it.....
Yah.. better picture of benny here.
Yup.. the town's called Mordialloc I believe.
THen we moved on...
We passed through Frankston. It was quite a busy town. Didn't stop though because we were hungry and itching to get to Mornington to get lunch.. However, again.. we saw a really scenic spot. And I spotted a rather huge building which looked like a restaurant so I was like Woooo.. maybe got food! Lucky I was on the right lane! hehehhe.. Quickly signalled right and moved into the turning lane. Yes.. it was.. rather sudden.. Not very sudden to be honest. It was more like an impromptu pit stop because we were rather undecided and were supposedly heading straight to Mornington.
We explored a little before checking out the building..
THe Frankston bridge??? dunno what it's called.
After pottering about the beach for a bit.. We decided to poke about that little building to see if there was any food.. Turns out it housed one of Melbourne's popular eateries.. "Sofia's".(If I'm wrong about this little fact.. do not hesitate to correct me dear Melbournians). So we decided.. LUNCH!!!!!! WOOOOOoOHOOOO!!! Cheap+good goooood food!
Okay okay.. so I was STARVING.. no.. krispy kremes were not very filling ><" Even though they're soooo fattening. HAhahahhaha..
I was somehow craving for soup that day.. So I HAD to order a bowl of soup. Mmm.. mussell soup!
Yeah.. THis Risotto Marinara was MINE tooo!!! hehehhe.. You think I'll be full drinking only soup!???(actually... i was kinda full.. ><" BUt I still managed to basically whack almost 1/2 my risotto... was sooo worried i'd fall asleep at the wheel >.<")
Did I mention we ordered salad to share as well??
OMGOODNESS>. fatfatfatfatfatfat..
Tiff and her spaghetti marinara(or not...spaghetti something!) and benny with his.. er... well.what looks to me like linguini.. or something linguini-like.. ahih.. I know they both ordered stuff which had 'SOFIA' in the name!
Btw.. these are all SMALL dishes okay?? SMALL!!! Lucky they mucked up benny's order and gave him a SMALL instead of a main size.. hahhaa.. that guy was so smart to order main.. The kitchen staff were smart enough though:P.
After making the final pit stop in Frankston.. we finally got our asses to Mornington! hehehehe...
BOy.. were we GLAD we had lunch in Frankston. mornington's.. well.. a bit the quiet. I thought Frankston would be small and Mornington would be bigger.. Oopps..
Self explanatory... yeah.. that's melbourne city in the distance!
Decided to move on from Mornington cuz nothing to see.. Stopped at a few random beaches for the colourful beach huts which SOoooo fascinated our friend Benny.
I made 2 random stops at random beaches cuz another beach had MORE colourful beach huts than the beach above! hehehhe..
Why this picture?? Well.. the story behind this picture is that, I didn't want to walk on the beach because the sand was the soft kind and can easily get into my shoes.. Sooo.. I decided to take the grassy path. WHich I did.. but then it smelled awfully funny.. Like it had sheep/cow/horse poo on it.. So.. uhh.. Decided to walk on the concrete 'wall'.. Er.. Did I mention that it's actually quite high up? THe photo's a bit deceiving.. BUt it was about a 3-4 metre fall to the beach and the green side was about a 1-2 metre fall.. Er.. and there were like branches blockking my way so I had to bend down to avoid them.. Sooo.. yeah.. A 'brilliant' way to avoid getting sand in my shoes.
SMall but damn colourful. Suggested to Benny he shoudl purchase one of these houses. He said he should keep changing the colour of his 'house' so that he can photograph it everyday. I suggested he hire someone so that someone can surprise him with different colour schemes. Wake up in the morning. VOILA!!! new colour.. Snap snap snap!!!
Er... looks like shit wei.. But it's CREAM in colour 0.0". Mystery object on the beach.. Wonder if it's shit.. how did it get so white!!??
Hmm.. choices choices.. krispy kreme or pear???
Okay.. So Tiff, Benny and I were basically binging on krispy kremes the whole day right?? We each had ONE fruit to er.. balance out all that junk!! HAHAHAHAH.. I know.. not logical. But it made us all feel better!! hahahhaha.. So I had a pear, Benny and Tiff had one apple each!! So ppl, if you're feeling guilty after binging on too much junk? Er... have a fruit! Tiff, Benny and CHristine's psychological way to deal with guilt from binging! I say psychological.. it ain't gonna help physiologically!... well.. maybe it might. I wouldn't know.
our drive to Sorrento for the famed fish and chips.. ended in disappointment. They were closed at 7pm man!!! what the heckk!???
So.. we decided to push on to portsea. Cuz I thought it would be a bigger town..
Or should I say 'town'? Cuz I don't even remember passing through a town before hitting this spot. Yeah.. the end of the road. I was at the end of the peninsular.. OMGOODNESS!!!
So we went back to the town where our motel was. Man.. THank goodness we were staying there.. It's got the most life between Portsea, Sorrento and Rye. Oh.. yeah.. we over-nighted in Rye.
Oh.. and we had vege for dinner(hoi!! don laugh.. trying to save money AND be healthy!!)
Yea... I know.. I look like I'm suffering eating vege only.. Benny pula.. I don't know.. so shocked like he found a fly/snail/maggot in his caesar salad.
OKay okay.. So we were actually going back to our motel to have our leftovers from lunch. Yep.. Tiff and I couldn't finish lunch so we tapau-ed.. but I was a good gurl.. I had 2 more quarters of krispy kreme and that was it for dinner ^^.. Had my risotto for breakfast instead. hehehhehe..
And that's the end of day 4.
