Photoblog: A week ago.. part 5
Went to bed at like 10.30pm the night before. Dman early right?? Hhahaha.. It was good la.. At least er.. kind of managed to wake up on time the next day.. Not really.. Hahha.. 30-40 mins after my alarm clock went off.. hahhha
So what happened on Day 5?
While waiting for everyone to be ready.. took some photos.
Nice fish sculptures. hahahhaha.. Blub blub.. Under the sseeaaa.. Under the seeaaaa.. blub blub..
We then pushed off so that we could traipse around the Point Nepean National Park(ring a bell? Yeah..the 'dead end' we reached the night before!) before catching the ferry to Queenscliffe.
I love driving through these tree lined roads.. Not at night though..

It was CLOSED>.. the DAMN NATIONAL PARK WAS CLOSED!!!

went back to the car and was chatting to Tiff while waiting for the good sir to be done with his photographing. Suddenly he raps excitedly at my window. Sheesh.. SHock me only.. Why?? Cuz he spotted this!
Look like the chimney's spouting the rainbow right? hehehe.. THe image that pops into my mind is of witches/fairies brewing something in a pot in the fireplace that's spouting this rainbow!!! hehehhehe...
Oh.. btw. Benny has a picture of this chimney spouting rainbow on his blog! go have a look see. He's also got really really nice photos from the road trip! SO much more artistic than mine. hehehehe.. Pictures that have thought put into them. Unlike mine. SEe, point, shoot! Anyway go to Benny's blog.

Hello Queenscliffe!(yeah.. quiet little town with lots of nice old beautiful buildings!)
THat church was converted into a gift store.. Found this really nice stained glass windows(better pic at benny's blog!)
A lighthouse. Not the one we were looking for though..

I was at like at 3-4 of those places!! hehehe
NOw THAT's the lighthouse we were looking for!! the black one!! but can't go and see it up close cuz you have to follow a special tour at 1pm to go around the fort. We didn't have the time as we had to push off soon.
Old pensioners sitting along the walkway at the beachside yakking. Now, isn't THAT the life?
Originally didn't wanna walk down to this beach.. cuz i was absolutely BUSTING to go pee!!! But in the end.. Don't think standing around while waiting for Tiff and Benny to come back up was gonna be helpful so I ended up walking down as well.
Again.. hunger prevailed so we uh.. Looked for food first before moving on with our journey. Again proved to be a wise choice because Werribee zoo wasn't near the city and not really near any food and the food at the zoo.. well.. Okay only I suppose.
I, BEnny, eat my burger! heheheh.. This guy was quite surprised I ordered the same thing. okay.. So most girls wouldn't go for 'the lot/the works' would they? Hahhaha.. NGAAUUMM.. me want the LOT!! hahahhaha

Yeaaahh.. the burger was a little too big for me to bite. So, I uh.. took half bites. hehehe.. as you can see from the picture. hahahah.
Back on the road to WERRIBEE OPEN RANGE ZOO!!!
Er.. I missed the turn off to Werribee.. Didn't panic.. just drove onto the next exit which was er.. apparently 17 km away... Thought of making a turn back. Turns out the signposting.. is quite bad.. Because they don't list ALL the exits. Whaddya know?? There was another exit to Werribee.. WIth Tiff's great navigational skills, we managed to get back to werribee to find...

Don't ask why I'm wearing my hoodie.. I think it was cuz it was freaking cold.. And I didn't have a hat to protect my head from the sun.
HAahaha.. nice signs they had!
Me fat meerkat. me sit on bum bum. LOokie my tum tum. Me very satisfied kat kat.
Just to disgust you. We later saw some meerkats tearing apart mice.. muahahhahahhaha.. ngaup ngaup ngaup.. EVerything went through their traps. Including bones.
THe best thing about this zoo is that... you get to sit in this bus.. which brings your lazy arse all around the zoo!!! woohooOO.. not just around the zoo.. Actually into the pens of the animals!!!!
This damn cool bus. The stairs folds up and all.. automatically!
That's our guide.
It's quite cool as well cuz he handed out some samples of animal hair, antlers, hoofs.. and what not! Tiff was right. We should've photographed every item that was handed around!
Man.. interesting that gazelle (or antelop??? eer.. either one), the antlers actually have got nerves and blood vessels in them. Unlike deer.

the chicks are sooo cute!! and the driver/guide was sooo kind to stop erm.. a couple of times just for us to er.. rave about their cuteness. hahahhaha..

The hippos have their very own wastewater treatment plant!!!! hahahhaha.. That's a man made wetland. Hhahaha.. to filter out the poo in the hippo water!

Oh .. I actually went to the zoo because I thought I'd be able to see a koala bear. Mind you. THIs is my 2nd trip to the land down under. but.. er.. i have NOT seen a koala bear in real life.. Hahhaha.. Turns out we kind of ended up in the wrong zoo? Hhhahaha.. Oops. Didn't know! So, yeah.. didn't see any koalas.

THis is me.. Doing.. a HOOK TURN!!! YEAH BABY!! I did TWO hook turns.. My dears.. it ain't THAT hard.. SEriously!! THe concept is just so that you don't block the cars behind you. It's NOT that hard at all.. Driving in Melbourne wasn't too bad.. THe complicated things were the trams.. yeah.. And also when they had a dual carriageway(i think that's what you call it.. when the road going one way kinda splits into two so you either have to be in the outer/inner side).. But overall.. it was OKAY!Just needed to get used to it.
Looking for parking in the city.. was.. hell.

Ended the night at this bar with a live jazz band. Guess who I met?? QUIN!!!! hahaha.. of course on purpose one la.. asked her to come and meet me:P
I couldn't resist.. it was soo expensive.. but still... HOw?? I miss it sooo much!!
Custard apple.. aaahhh.. I still think the Malaysian ones are better though!
