I'm feeling teh stressed..
I believe I might have found the source of my blues.
"Job hunting is super like depressing k?I hate it so much.. It's like.. figuring out what job you want.. Then when you think you do, you find that there aren't many of that kind. Then you have to think if you want to WAIT for the jobs to come or to apply for OTHER types of jobs.. and then you worry if you are making the right choice.. I mean, if you stick to what you think you want then no harm, I suppose.. but what if you apply for other type and then get it.. then like.. should u take it.. if you do, is that gonna be like.. a total deviation and what not! ARGH.. I'm farking stressed. I HATE MAKING LIFE DECISIONS!!!! err.. at least ones that I'm not even sure what I want la."
To add to it.. when you start thinking more about the other job opportunities, you start getting appealed to it. However, then again, there's the worry of whether or not that's really what you want and where will that lead you. What sort of a career progression is available to you? Where can you go from there. Whereas if you take the original career choice, you know you could always just get into the alternative anyway at a later date. Because, it's not as if you're going into it now with much experience so it really wouldn't matter much anyway if you go into it later because you're going to have to learn it anyway. Yet, it is rather appealing and I'm feeling rather crappy because I have what?? Applied for 1 and missed 2 other good opportunities. Fark. So what now?
I always get stressed out and frustrated making some life decisions. Especially with things that I'm just 'lost' and have 'no direction' with. Sigh.
Perhaps it's over-thinking again, no?
Feeling like a change could be good and what not.. Since I don't really want to stay in the science field forever, right? Is that really what I want though? Or am I just lying to myself because I do get a bit excited about Food Science. Perhaps it's because it's something I'm so familiar with and have been nurturing for the past few years. I've become attached to it and have come to like it a bit. Still, ultimately, is this really my passion? I know I will not suit entirely that sort of role.. but I am also quite afraid to step out of my comfort zone.
This was my plan.. Like I mentioned previously, I liked little 'plans' or just somewhat of a guideline.
1) Get Product Development(PD) / technical sort of experience
2) Then progress into other fields.
THe progression from PD onto other things seem like an easier transition as opposed to going from the other fields into PD. Mainly because there are just fewer PD jobs as opposed to jobs in the other fields. Moreover, PD is a field in which requires much technical experience as possible. Therefore, while my 'experience' is still somewhat fresh (from internship and last year), I thought I ought to get into PD while I can now.. rather than take a job in another field and then switch to PD. By then, my experience would become quite stale really and working in the other field would deviate my career path a little. I think I know of 1 person who started in QA and then jumped into PD. Hmm.. I would think it would be easier within one company maybe. Ahh.. I don't know. Still, it would make sense to jump into PD first. Bleh.
See.. so much to figure out right?
